Identify which workflows your "top 5 data sources" occur in

There is an easy way to see all workflows associated with the reported “high use” data sources on the WAM Health metrics Top 5 Metrics dashboard.

This process will require you to have all or most workflows in your gallery parsed in order to be acceptably fast, but once that initial parse is completed this will be a quick and repeatbale process (and a large scale parse will help you get the most out of WAM's dashboard anyway!).

Start by exporting the “top 5 data sources” report into excel with the “download” button - that way I have the full list of used data sources as well as a separate window where I can easily copy these data source names to proceed finding all associated workflows.

Here I would suggest pasting the data source value exactly as reported in the excel doc into WAM search - you can do this one at a time and explore the configuration details over on the Search/Update page.

The workflow viewer here has been filtered down to “only workflows that use this data source.”

You can filter further with the configuration details filters (as opposed to those of the workflow viewer) - to specify within the set of workflows which contain this data source ("one workflow within the workflows," "one tool type across the workflows"--all DbFileInput tools for instance, etc...).one or more filters will work within the workflow configuration details pane.

You might consider applying our regex functionality here - say for instance you are interested in a specific combination of data sources - you can achieve this by delimiting multiple data sources with a pipe “|”.

Notice the two workflows that are now additionally in our search results and can be included in the “further filtering” process I described.
