Enabling Email Notifications in WAM Settings

Since WAM does not support two-step verification, your ordinary email password will not work; you will need to setup an App password for WAM to use instead.

Outlook

1 Sign into your microsoft account at the security basics page

2 Select More security options

3 Find the App passwords section and select Create a new app password

4 Save this app password (you will not be able to access it again) and enter this as the your Email password in WAM


Google

1 Go to your Google Account

2 Select the Security section


3 Find the “Signing into Google” section and select App passwords

If you don’t see it, the following possibilities might be excluding this option:

  • 2-step verification is not set up for your account
  • 2-step verification is only set up for security keys
  • Your account is through work, school or another organization
  • You turned on Advanced Protection

4 At the bottom choose the Select app drop down and select “Other” (we entered “WAM” as the custom name)

5 Select Generate - your app password will appear in a yellow bar

6 Save this password (you will not be able to access it again) and enter it as the password value in WAM
